Review you don't need: Dept. Q on Netflix. I like Brit sleuth shows so Dept. Q already intrigued me. 1st episode has me in, thanks to the lead-in story & hook at the end. 9 episodes allowed for decent character development while keeping the stories going. Good acting. Worth a 2nd season. #QItUp

Movie reviews you don't need: Saw Happy Gilmore 2 yesterday. Missed the mark for me. Very stale, plot was terrible, & rather disjointed. But ... re-watched Star Trek (2009 ed) & really enjoyed it. Grabs you right from the opening scene. Good mix of nostalgia & newness and a great cast. #AtTheMovies

Rethinking retirement thanks to the GOP. Won't be able to live where I am. Saw Marvel F4 today. Really like the more story movies - not just action with setup in between. Don't get me wrong, enjoy many of those but prefer story. Highly skeptical going in but I really liked the cast (acting, etc) & very solid film. Still unsure on Doom - hope proven wrong :) #Fantastic4

Non-serious post 1/2 Just saw Jurassic Park Rebirth with the family. Honest rating 6-7/10. Plot was stale & the main feature (dinos) were ok but not great. Characters were also rushed but I did like most of the actors. Not a great vehicle for ScarJo but she didn't have much to work with.

Very hard to stay optimistic with every win they take. No accountability, no law & order, nothing. Authoritarian Project 2025 in plain site & can't seem to stop it. I know many people have it way worse so I can't just give in. Gotta fight until my end or I will simply be a huge disappointment. #Hope

1/2 My unasked review of MI:Reckoning movies. They are fine but no more than that for me. Love the 3 MIs before these, where they had an awesome mix of thrill & fun (i.e. literal humor) but, just like Thor: Love & Thunder drifted too far to comedy (to me), Reckoning went too serious.
