Big shoutout to
@mdhumanservices.bsky.social
for launching a one-stop digital shop for benefits! This is a great example of how states are simplifying access to public benefits and making it easier for people to apply for multiple programs in one place. Check it out below!

How one state strives to reduce the burden of benefits application for residents
Maryland residents have a new resource to digitally apply for multiple benefits programs, which one official says helps streamline the process and reduces in-person transactions.

Rebuilding trust in government isn’t about quick wins. Nava's co-founder Rohan Bhobe reminds us that true efficiency is the result of durable, effective systems built to serve over time. At Civilla, we share that belief deeply. Check out the op-ed! 🔗

We redesigned our office by asking a simple question: what do our people actually need? The answer: 🍽️ A real place to eat lunch together 💻 Desks built for how they work 🎨 Creative tools they can find Small, thoughtful changes make a huge difference in how people feel at work.

Stories change minds. Stories change systems. So, when we design for people, how do we bring stories to life? 📣 Share people's actual words. 🚶🏾 Show the journey, not just problems. 💡 Highlight moments that matter. 🔎 Use clear visuals.

What if government benefits were approved in just ONE DAY? MI residents can wait 20+ days for benefit approval. We partnered with Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services to see if we could make determinations faster. Result: Same-day decisions became possible.

When systems aren't working, many say, "tear it down and start over." We see it differently. We believe in rolling up our sleeves and fixing what we have. Public institutions touch all our lives and are worth improving, not abandoning. See how we're making change:
