I might be dropping the game project soon. I don't think it's the art form for me. I might release all the story and art beats I had planned for it, since I spent a lot of time on them and a lot are pretty cool, but I'm simply not a game dev type guy. Turns out games are more than just coding + art

Gamedev is littered with blind leading the blind. Search for info on UE shader programming and you'll get people talking about material authoring. Search for animation node programming and you'll get control rig stuff

A good example of this is XC3 having money and item shops despite being completely useless compared to how you normally get items in game. They didn't need to add them, but they did because the genre required it. Very unfortunate.

The plot of the Xenoblade 3 DLC is so damn convoluted and deus-ex-machina-y that it was kind of a turn off. Wish these games had way more straightforward plots and less anime convolution. But oh well
