I have given up on naming subgenres of dubstep. I just add modifiers now when I talk about it. heavy dubstep, minimal dubstep, melodic dubstep, deep/dark dubstep, oldschool dubstep, maybe tearout dubstep. not sure what modifiers to use for my stuff, but it’s somewhere in between
