I am so incredibly excited to share that next fall I will be an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Macalester College. I feel so insanely lucky that I landed such a great position AND that said position is in my hometown of St. Paul, MN!!!!!

Some people don’t seem to know this but if your department is running an internal search you actually *don’t* need to advertise the job ad on your social media for your sham search to reach an even wider audience of suckers

Niche complaint: when you’re a small person the gate agents always think your carry on is bigger than it is because it looks bigger proportionally! Girl I know this is a regional jet but you let on several people with the same exact size suitcase before me without a pink tag I’m just small™️

Anyone have any suggestions of topics for a 30-minute teaching demo in phil mind? I’m hoping to find a topic that could be accessible without being able to assign them any reading (or possibly a fairly short reading) and that would be conducive to discussion, small group work, etc.

If only there were some role in society, a profession maybe, where someone could publicly, persistently ask leaders hard questions to make them explain themselves…
