i think part of the reason i'm so slow on catching up on planarcadia is i'm just not really into the idea that the astral express is famous across the universe and inspired an entire fictional series, i don't find it particularly compelling or realistic so it throws my immersion off

im so continually impressed by writers working serially who pull off super cohesive and thematic stories. and slightly envious tbh because i don't think i do as well with that process
