Spent most of today so far transcribing 6 pages of a sermon and there another 24 to go. So now I am asking myself two questions, why on earth did 17th century sermons need to be so long (rhetorical, I know that I should know this haha) and why did I decide to work with them? 😅

There are so many barriers. Given the cost of living in Oxford I do wonder how many less privileged graduates are even applying for the funding in the first place? I have been put off of applying for postdocs, as even the better paid college fellowships still make it almost impossible to live nearby
