As a casual fan of FF7 with no real strong attachment to it, it admittedly doesn't bother me as much that re-trilogy is seemingly aiming to disregard what the original game was all about. Really what bothers me is the ways I see people going about defending it.

Man times are tough out here, cos what do you mean a quavers grab bag is now £1.20. I miss the days where I could go to the store with three quid.. Buy the necessities and still walk out with a lil something on the side.

Spending time observing various online communities has kind of made me realise people spend way more time defending and arguing over the things they enjoy instead of just enjoying them.

Maan...Checked out Frontiers revisited. Forget the huge graphical. The controls alone are such an improvement over the base game you couldn't make go back even if you were holding a gun to my head....unfortunately, it's just the demo out right now, so I guess you don't have that far yet lul.

Huh... I just learned that FFVII re:trilogy part three might not have an affinity system... If that's the case depending on how square writes the story that's gonna make a lot of people mad lul.

One thing I can kind of appreciate about Cloud and Tifa in the re-trilogy is how complicated they are despite being childhood ""friends"". the trope is often used to fast track getting past the complicated bits and getting them hitched with minimal effort in the story so it's a nice subversion.

i will say there's a lot of work part three will have to put in to have Zack and Cissnei be together in a way that doesn't feel weird cos it's pretty obvious in rebirth that Zack is still down bad for Aerith...and the re-trilogy has enough guys using other women as rebounds from Aerith as it is lmao
