Hey, #iteachmath folks, new stats teacher here. Area under normal distribution curve: Is it important to teach Ss to use a z-score TABLE, or can they use technology? Should they know how to look at rows and columns?

When we say “we gain an extra hour of sleep this weekend,” we mean, like, NOW, right? Like, Sunday evening we go to bed an hour early?

I have a student who is VERY bright but always tries to game the system, looking for a work-around or a shortcut, often successfully. Yesterday, explaining his thinking: Now I look for this thing I like to call “The Number That Will Get Us The Answer.” I say, “We like to call that x.” 🤔🤗🤣

I started these guys in May, and now’s the payoff!
