So sad to share that legendary colorist Tatjana Wood has passed away at the age of 99. Her pioneering painterly touch graced scores of DC & Vertigo series. She was truly one of a kind and a special friend. May her memory be a blessing.

My PhD student's NSF grant was terminated today. Her dissertation investigates why air pollution monitoring, metrics, and regulations don't properly capture the harms experienced by marginalized communities--esp in the most polluted Detroit neighborhoods. She and I are happy to talk with press etc.

I had Gary Panter's Rozz-Tox Manifesto pinned up above my drawing board since it was first published in the Ralph Records catalog in the 1970s. Gary later said it was 'filler' (a page short of content, so he concocted this), but man o man, I lived by this as a comics creator and artist.
