Training exercise at the RAF Museum, Colindale ✈️🚒 Last week, crews from Mill Hill, Hendon, Finchley and West Hampstead joined forces with the London Ambulance Service, Met Police and museum staff for a major incident exercise, where our firefighters practiced rescuing multiple casualties.

We have deployed 27 firefighters, five officers, five fire appliances and one of our wildfire vehicles to join other Fire and Rescue Services in North Yorkshire to tackle the major 10 sq mile fire at Langdale Moor. We are proud to be able to assist our fire and rescue family.

Wildfires are no longer a distant threat. This summer alone we’ve seen 64 in London. Thanks to record funding from City Hall, the London Fire Brigade has invested in enhanced training and new equipment including drones, off-road wildfire response vehicles and specialised hoses.
