This week Quelvin is in Geneva to represent the Xinka Parliament during the 11th Session of the negotiations for a UN Treaty on Business and Human Rights, reminding delegates that justice has still not been served. A Treaty would make respecting human rights a legal requirement for companies.

“It is a very tortuous process, especially when the victims are the poorest people, those with the least access to resources...” Quelvin Jiménez, lawyer for the Xinka Parliament, speaks about the struggles for indigenous communities in Guatemala to access justice in the fight to protect their land.
