Since the outbreak of the war, the Greek Orthodox compound of Saint Porphyrius and the Holy Family compound have been a refuge for civilians in Gaza city. Trócaire’s partner Caritas Jerusalem maintains a vital shelter and medical facility where communities of all faiths receive vital care.

❗Famine confirmed for first time in Gaza. ❗ According to the latest food security analysis released today, more than half a million people in Gaza are experiencing famine conditions, and this is projected to spread from Gaza Governorate to Deir Al Balah and Khan Younis Governorates.
