I just finished @manongarcia.bsky.social's Living with Men. I highly recommend, though it's disturbing and challenging stuff. What it captures, and refuses to dispel, is a sense of being genuinely adrift if you refuse to flinch from what you on some level know must be true of many men around you.

@brunoleipold.com's book was an interesting intellectual history of how Marx developed his ideas in dialogue with republicanism. Particularly lucid analysis of the connection between domination and exploitation in chapter 5.

Classic dominant-class move to treat class and other identity categories as little knobs you can switch off and on without changing any other variables and then cry about the one or two knobs that aren’t positioned in your favor

This post on "dual class origins" of Labour MPs is interesting cos it highlights that many in the UK have a notion of class wherein one can "inherits" one's class, so if one had working class parents one is therefore still working class even if one is presently, say, an Oxford educated barrister!
