It's funny, punchy, and just does everything right. I have not felt this excited to talk about a book since The Plot which is my all time favorite book. This is one you need to watch, pre-order, and devour. Also a @artofnickrobles.bsky.social variant cover is like the seal of a book of the year.

It examines how communities can self cannibalize when blood hits the water. It's a fascinating look at mistakes and change through body horror. Josh's art is playful but grotesque in a way I have not seen elsewhere with such striking style and pose to everything from paneling to design.

My entire critical writing career has been heavily rooted in horror comics which got me into writing. I would go so far as to say I am one of the top experts in the space. So please take it to heart when I say that this comic is a 10/10 debut.

I was not ready for "Did You Hear About Mimi Green?" created by @joshcornillon.bsky.social, @connorgoldsmith.bsky.social, and Ariana Maher. This is a book I can point to and say, "This is why I love horror." It feels like fresh air hitting my lungs after years buried under the viscera of the genre.
