Zohran's campaign was a marvel- they will write books on it. I learned from canvassers, all of whom were younger than me. There was discipline, organization, intention, warmth. And it made me speak to my neighbors in a never-before way.

It was infuriating to watch the NYC mayoral debate, and Cuomo kept mispronouncing Mamdani's name (calling him Mamdami, or some variation). I guess Cuomo thinks that racist aggression makes him cool, and not incompetent, since he can't remember his main competitor's name.

It was like canvassing in a monsoon! stars aligned given that his mum Mira Nair made Monsoon Wedding (and she too came out to canvas and got soaked like the rest of us).

The ground-game for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's campaign is one I have Never, Ever seen! new people entering as volunteers per shift, walking around in the pouring rain. Yesterday he came to a rally at the start of canvassing in my neighrhood in Harlem with his mum Mira Nair.

This is the CATO Institute coming out and decrying ICE agents masking: "Similar concerns haven’t deterred judges, who in the past year have come under a wave of threats, often serious." I don't agree with CATO, & in fact disagree with half this article, but pointing out secret police critique.
