We just came from a new (to us) Korean BBQ restaurant. We had to cook our own meat, but it was delicious. Just over $30 to feed two of us.

We stopped in a downtown tea. shop to pick up a tea steeper, and it turned into one of the most surreal and sketchy experiences we've had in a long time. In the end I just left five bucks on the counter for our purchase and slowly walked out.

We tried a new (to us) restaurant this evening so that I could sate my desire for lasagne. I was disappointed to learn that this underwhelming little sliver of pasta did not come with any sides (in fairness, the angle makes it look smaller than it was in person). It was satisfactory.

I tried frying shaved corned beef topped with Swiss cheese in bacon fat until the bottom crisped up and the cheese melted. Then I put it on toasted rye bread with mayo, hot mustard and pickles. I had a working premise that few things are not improved by being fried in bacon fat. So far, so good.
