The first published article of my PhD. As described by @gerrich.bsky.social, we equipped R. sphaeroides with a MoClo system, characterized genetic elements, and applied a semi-automated approach for rapid strain construction. Such a nice collaboration!

This is it. The act of science -like art- is not the output, it is the interaction and the process. What makes us the kind of scientists we are is how we approach the problem 🧪

Fantastic piece, and should be required reading (especially for university presidents, ahem). All of this "AI is the future" and "the gap between university and industry AI use and expertise!" always elides the fact that the tech is "mid" at best (@tressiemcphd.bsky.social) and more often just slop.
