THIS SUMMER! OhioDDR will be hosting ROOTS26: a celebration of the people within our community who create a safe and welcoming space for building up every player. We're going back to our roots, offering social-focused community events all weekend, friendly for players of all experience levels.

In 2026, there will be no Mistake on the Lake 7. Over the years, OhioDDR has become a huge organization. MotL is no exception! With an ownership change, we're busy focusing on taking inventory, filing taxes, moving accounts... It would be too much on our plates to also deliver what MotL truly needs.

As for entry/waitlists; we are working with TOs to get those added to their individual tournament sheets now. Qualifiers for all games will close when August ends, so make sure you get on those! If you have specific needs (such as limited access) you can always DM us and we'll let the TO know.

We have some news to announce! Unfortunately, Canblaster will not be able to attend. But we've lined up a replacement act we think you'll all be happy with: Maozon! We should have concert ticket and merch sales up after this weekend, so stay tuned!

General registration for Mistake on the Lake 6 AND hotel block info is now open! motl.info/registration/ motl.info/travel/ Waitlists are up for SMX, IIDX Single, and Doubles. Waitlists for Singles and Classic are already very long (20+ each). We will set up waitlists if those numbers drop.

Waitlist emails have gone out to all eligible competitors. Those players will have 36 hours (until Tuesday 15-Jul 9 am ET) to complete their registration. Note that the original registrants still have the opportunity to register as well for those few remaining slots, so don't wait!

REMINDER: If anyone has not completed their registration by 9PM tonight, their spots will be made available to people on the waitlist! Good news! The registration emails and hotel block info is going out early! Check your email! You have until Sunday, 13-Jul at 9pm ET to complete your registration. After that time, it will be given to the next person on the waitlist. Open registration will be public on Thursday, 17-Jul at 9pm ET!

The lottery registration has closed! Entrants will be notified of the events they got into no later than Thu 10-Jul of their events, and will have instructions for signup and hotel reservation in that email. General registration will open Thu 17-Jul for any remaining slots.

Here's the info on how the lottery will work. There is a little bit more info on the signup form, but this is the core information and dates which are slightly subject to change, but only if we're going ahead of schedule (lol, a tournament ahead of schedule, funny joke)

To clarify based on a question: hotel reservations will not be limited only to those who register for events; however, they will be given a few days advance notice to reserve a room before the information is made available to everyone else.
