It lifted the humanoid up toward it as effortlessly, then twisted its tail so his head faced its gleaming teeth. A low rattle emerged from the jaw, which opened wide, and then within, a smaller jaw of metallic teeth opened too, priming to deliver a fatal blow to the head.

The drone "stared" at the humanoid, sleek carapace glistening with moisture.

The bladed tail lowered, aiming to impale the humanoid through the chest. The only warning was the whistle of the blade through the air.

The drone begins to unfurl. Biomechanoid form so resembling a human at first glance, but the elongated head, six-fingered hands, digitigrade legs, and long, bladed tail shatter that illusion as quickly as it is rendered. A heavy THUMP rocks the ground, and its head turns toward him.

Movement. The lone drone waited, drool sliding off metallic teeth to drip onto the ground below.
