Played an RCQ on Grixis Shadow today. Had to play a World's competitor in Round 1 no big deal

My opponent was playing Pioneer But I was playing Modern This was the most busted thing the deck did all day Otherwise it had a lot of mulligans that ended up poorly Went 3-3 overall, deck feels like the Standard version but can win much faster thanks to Mox Amber

I will not be attending #MCAtlanta as a Creator, and therefore not be attending the MagicCon as a whole. After 2 years of trying, I think the only way I'll be going to Events is as a Competitor. Unfortunately, the cost just isn't in the cards (heh) this time around.

I'm back on the Modern RCQ grind this season, but ever since Spicerack was shut down, it's been difficult to find events. Decided to build surveil.land over the weekend to help locate RCQs, Store Championships, and other competitive MTG events (like 5Ks) around the world.

I ordered cards for Modern, hoping they get here before the last Sunday in June so I can play our LGS RCQ But I'm still not too sure I'm happy with the deck choice - nothing seems to spark joy the way decks in Pioneer/Standard do

The biggest downside to the Standard RCs ending this weekend is that Standard is over for a bit, so I'll have to play Modern soon. (Not that I had time for RCQs last Season) Controversial opinion I know - but I just don't jive with any current Modern decks even post-ban
