Thanks to #BirdRinging, the maximum age of a Woodpigeon has been recorded at 17 years 8 months. This bird (F9) popped into my Norfolk garden this morning and is at least 13 years old now. #Amazing! @btobirds.bsky.social

Exciting Coot news! Members of Cardiff Uni Ornithological Society & @becky-gibbs.bsky.social recently found this colour-ringed Coot at Roath Park Lake. It was ringed in May '24 at Bugårdsdammen, Sandefjord in Norway! Look out for it at the lake on your next visit and drop us a line if you see it! 🙏
