We only had 5 last night for #cube night, but cube will fire until morale improves! We did double grid drafting where you can select any given row or column from either grid and then the next person does the same. Every 4th pick, we burn the grids and start over. Went 3-0 with a Sultai value pile.

I played my first Scrabble tournament in 8 years in a very small 12 game event that included 2 other players new to the international dictionary and I went on what can only be described as a heater. My next tournament I will be laughed out of the room but for now I will enjoy my silly high number.

I'd like to propose something. You should bring five $1 bills the next time you go downtown for a big protest. Pass them out to homeless people or add them to the tip jars of local businesses. While we protest at the federal and state level, we need to impact the local level.

Well when you go in with an unhinged concept.... you get an unhinged deck. One of our drafters brought a modern lantern control deck as their 45, so I got to lose to that in the finals. I had a couple potential lines to give myself a chance but it didn't come together. 2-1 (4-2)

Tomorrow my local playgroup is doing a Fruit Cake/Stone Soup/Ultimate Chaos draft. Bring any 45 cards that you want, they all get shuffled together and we draft. I may make some changes but as of right now, here's my pile. Any comments, suggestions or criticism?

Chaos draftin'

3-0, 6-1 with pretty linear Gruul stompy deck at #FNM last night. P1p1 Drakuseth. Red was wide open but didn't settle into my second color until the middle of pack 2. Beat UR, BW, and BW to take the trophy. Foundations has been solid so far, but I don't see it having much staying power.

Played a new cube to our group tonight and, while we've got some work to do to tighten it up, I still had fun with this very weird izzet planeswalkers/vehicles/spells/draw-your-whole-deck deck. I'm trailblazing whole new archetypes over here! 2-1 losing to my youngest son (14) on UG busted cards.

It's going to be tough for me not to draft BW in Foundations. Durdly drain/gain ... yes, please.

Foundations pre-release 3-1 in BW losing to my son who got the 4-0 with the most busted green stompy deck I have seen in limited. We played two friendlies after he beat me 2-0 and I did get to win off the record. In one game I cast both of his Ghaltas off of my Tinybones.
