Jujutsu Kaisen - War of the Magi Jujutsu Kaisen in a Shonen Manga/Anime by Gege Akutami inspired by Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, and Neon Genesis Evangelion set in a modern day world where negative emotions can take on physical forms known as Curses, which in turn feed more negative emotions in order to grow more powerful. These curses are held at at by people who are born with and learn to wield cursed energy, known in Japan as Jujutsu Sorcerers. Set in Washington D.C, in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe directly after the Shibuya Incident, War of the Magi will follow a group of college age students in the United States becoming among the first to awaken to their new abilities as they navigate not only being thrown into this new reality of Curses and power that has suddenly appeared for them but also dealing with a country on the verge of collapse due to a recent rise in the levels of discontent among its citizens, fed by malicious intent from those in positions of power and wealth. ----- The goal with this series will be to explore the intense nature of fighting a battle that was believed to be won but suddenly has been flipped on it's head and how these characters may or may not rise up against the forces that threaten their once peaceful lives.
