2025 was brutal for games media, but I'm seeing some glimmers of hope as worker-owned sites like @aftermath.site, @rascal.news, and @giantbomb.bsky.social have carved out vital spaces in the games community. Earlier this year, I made a huge Indie Games Media starter pack for y'all. Let's celebrate.

Um wow, I am shocked at how many of these I have accomplished! I proudly work in games PR as of September, I made it to TGA this year, and I bought my friend's old PC off him! The only thing I didn't quite do was post consistently, a problem I still have. (1/3)

You know what, I think I want to make 2026 the year of the backlog. It'll be expensive to buy the most modern systems and games, so I may as well try to actually get through games that I've owned for a long time. I have no idea how well this will go, but I want to at least try this year!
