Lot of parallels to games. Suits waste profound amounts of money trying to will the industry into a consistent repetitive slop machine when, as with all entertainment, the only consistent rule is that inconsistent, original and good is the way of maybe getting a hit. Maybe.

This is true. But also I think people tend to forget - or ignore - that dealing with the LLM, iterating, seeing failures, getting an unexpected good result can be a fun, exciting and enjoyable process. And that's part of the problem, if it wasn't people wouldn't use AI as much.
