A real treat for #TwinPeaks fans--an oral history of the Georgia Coffee commercials. (If you squint real hard, these ads could almost be in continuity.) As for Ashbrook's mysterious "fifth commercial," I wonder if he filmed a scene for the original four, but it was cut for time. Will we ever know?

Once again, I'm massively impressed by the research done by @twinpeaksblog.bsky.social! More incredible bits of detail about the #TwinPeaks Georgia Coffee commercials. (I never knew who *really* owned that cool car until today!)

One of my all-time favorite movies, Brazil, was released 40 years ago today. I never get tired of watching this audacious masterpiece.

A couple of thoughts: 1) I'm definitely getting this! 2) Lynch would not have been happy about an audio commentary. 3) Could a competing Criterion release be in the works (and this is an effort to get ahead of that)? 4) I'm definitely getting this!

Someone on Facebook pointed out that Karolina Wydra, who plays Zosia in #Pluribus (one of this year's best shows), had a bit part as Chloe in #TwinPeaks: The Return (one of the all-time best shows). That's pretty cool.

David Foster Wallace was a great admirer of David Lynch, and I believe he found inspiration in #TwinPeaks. Check out Wallace's short story, "Oblivion," which, like Twin Peaks, deals with dreams and unreliable narration. It also contains this not-so-subtle reference:

Added three new book to my Lynch/Twin peaks library. All seem like good books with much to offer. I’m on the fence about a fourth book though (second pic); it’s handsome (and Wrapped in Plastic gets a mention!), but it’s pretty much an overview of Lynch’s career without any real depth.
