Well, it turns out that installing a new light fixture in the kitchen was easy, mostly. The only pain was that the light nipples (yes that's what they're called) that the ceiling lights came with were to short. Now instead of 1 light bulb for the kitchen we have 3.

So, I keep forgetting to post stuff on here. I check in on folks I follow but forget to post stuff myself. Anyway I’m working on a few more details for my Star Wars RPG. I messed up and removed something from the chapters that I now need to go put back in.

So, I've been spending some time working on my Discworld one-shot game. I just need to add page numbers. The doc I made is nothing fancy in terms of looks but I think it gets the job done and, most importantly, includes footnotes.

After taking a break from the Star Wars project for the week end, today I've been working on form-fillable character sheets.

Well, yesterday I took a sick day to see the doctor and anticipated getting shots (Flue & Covid booster)...which could kick in and force me to come home anyway. Turned out I made it through yesterday without a blip of temperature increase. Not so today: temp of 101.2.

Well I have gone through and converted my PC's disk management from MBR to GPT and then got into bios and switched to UEFI. What a headache, but I got it sorted. Now there's no issues with my AMD video card and I could update my PC to Windows 11 (unfortunately).

So I wrapped up making the first version character sheet along with reference sheets for powers for my Star Wars RPG. I next need to work out a GM screen. I don’t do Index’s since I have no idea how to automate that process. #TTRPG

Well I have successfully replaced my son's Lenovo Flex 3 chromebook's keyboard. Everything is working now and I was able to get a factory reset done.

Brand new video card is here, an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT. I've had my current one for pretty long time now. This new one should bring my graphics capabilities for gaming up significantly. No more low/medium graphics here.

Well it's time to start designing a character sheet for the Star Wars RPG I've been crafting. I'll have two versions I think. One will look like a datapad (not good for printing out, but good for use as a fillable PDF, and then there will be a more plain version that will be more printer friendly.

I have almost figured out how to take apart my son's Chromebook. All the little plug in parts, don't just snap in, you gotta flip up a tab that connects the wires. Well for most of them, a few are normal plugs.

While I wanted the NPC block to be smaller, taking up a bit less than half the page it would require dropping the background graphic that is meant to make it look like an Imperial Datapad.

FYI #ttrpg map makers, "rpg_tabletops" on Instagram, Facebook, and elsewhere, is stealing people's maps and running them through AI to change the appearance slightly.

So it looks like my bottle return savings is at around $375. That means that I can upgrade my PC's GPU to something better and not have it chug along with newer games. (I have an: nvidia geforce rtx 2060.)

So my son and I went and saw Superman in the theater. That was a fun movie. It will be interesting to see if he manages to get Krypto trained.

So the only disappointing thing for me with #CriticalRole season 4 is that they are using D&D 2024 and not Daggerheart. While it is disappointing, I also understand that they may have a contract with WOTC for a number of years that may be putting a brake on switching over.

Time for a nap. I’m not feeling well, head hurts and I feel on the cusp of being dizzy without actually going over. I’m wondering if the stress of the summer work at school is just catching up or if it’s something else.

So at work, on my breaks mind you, I have started working on a Discworld adventure. Not too surprising if you know me since I listen to the Discworld audio books constantly. The story will involve players being in the Watch with the plot loosely based of “The Lost Wand” short story.

Tomorrow it’s back home for us. We would have liked to have gone to the shops along the warf, but the smell/taste of fish in the air is too much for a kid with sensory processing disorder. But we’re hitting the outlet mall in Lincoln city. And I’m going to the game store that is just down from it.
