Just allow people to return to their home country if they might have the incorrect visa. No one should be imprisoned by ICE.

The Northwest ICE Processing Center, where Becky Burke is being held, is a privately run immigration prison.

The two German tourists who were detained at the southern US border are finally going home. This is very hopeful for Becky Burke's case.

Becky's father Paul says that the media attention and pressure from the British consulate is working! Maybe the ICE Officer will listen to her requests for such improvements as a clean sweatshirt and nutrition better than "cold potatoes and watery unseasoned beans."

Becky Burke of Book Island (a picture book publisher in the UK founded by my fellow Tokarczuk translator Greet Pauwelijn) was "detained" by ICE at the Canadian border on 2/28. Her father asked that her story be shared in case someone can help her. He writes:
