Sayo (小夜) means "night", though with kind of a poetic flair. It's a period appropriate name that I've always liked, so I just went with it. I wasn't thinking too deeply about the meaning of it at the time. I struggled a bit with it later, like 'why would her parents name her this?', but -- (cont.)

i need to get all the sayo lore out of my head and into a readable/viewable form but I don't know where to even start O|-< writing it would be faster than drawing it at least... maybe..

I picked face 4 because I liked the horn shape the best, but I think her features are really pretty!! I tried to soften the built-in sharpness of the face 4 features, and I think the end result is very elegant. Even if I had the option I don't think I could ever change her horns now...

Contrary to her reserved image, Sayo is surprisingly bold in combat situations. She'll make really risky moves as a matter of strategy, and may put herself "unnecessarily" in danger if she thinks she can press an advantage. People who often fight alongside her get used to it, probably... sort of...

these two are ridiculous. Sayo thinks it's quite normal for there to be such a height difference! Auri norms and all that. Aymeric has no qualms and likes being able to carry or hold her with ease; the only issue was learning how to dance with someone so much shorter

Sayo is 28 in ARR. I haven’t decided how long I think the whole game takes but she’s definitely 30+ by 7.0
