I don't know how the author feels, or anything. But i feel like the fanbase that has gathered around frieren is unfortunate. And doesn't really bode well for it being discussed in an earnest fashion down the line.

I feel as though the ffxiv fanbase is going to eat themselves alive, not because of budget or content issues , or even interpersonal drama. I think what's going to eat them alive is when its clear certain calls are coming from inside of the house, and how people react to those calls.

Even though my life is on fire, I guess i need to post something? How about this then. I think the lies of P DLC successfully achieves its aesthetic in a way the main game fails to do. The main game is obsessed with mimicking bloodborne aesthetically, the dlc doesn't really try to.
