Fascinating article that throws a spotlight on the Korean fertility crisis through the lens of kdramas. But it doesn't mention When the Stars Gossip, which is a big omission imo. The mostly explicitly pro-natalist drama in years was a ratings disaster. Women aren't having it.

Favourite #books must include recipe books. Last night's delicious dinner from Persiana, Sabrina Ghayour - haddock in tamarind, coriander and fenugreek sauce. (The recipe said serve with rice but saute potatoes worked too!)

Just finished reading We Do Not Part a novel by Nobel prize winner Han Kang about the 1948 Jeju massacre where 30,000 people — 10% of the population — were killed by government forces backed by the US. While reading it, I couldn't help but think of When Life Gives You Tangerines. #kdrama

Finally finished WLGYT #kdrama Loved the focus on a long-lasting marriage and on parent-child relationships. Also appreciated the backdrop of Korea's story over the years. Somehow I never invested in it though. Think I preferred older Ae-sun but younger Gwan-sik! Would still recommend
