I thought Spurs looked pretty good in the 1st half by pretty consistently getting the ball into the 10's who could drive inside (especially Gaupset). For as good as the CB's have been this season, having them follow attackers as deep as they do

Hopefully Spurs can remain similarly efficient while creating more chances per game in the back half of the season.

Obviously this is a good sign of their intentions to get promoted and I wouldn't be surprised to see them look at CB's (depth) and a backup striker this window.

That result isn't catastrophic for the season of course, and the early evidence suggests that Ho looks quite adaptable with his initial lineups, and switching player roles during the games. The improvements will still come, it might just be a difficult process.

I hope Jo Potter sticks with Blanchard and Vanhervemaet in midfield. There's a really nice balance of creativity and physicality between the two of them and Blanchard's deeper starting position let her dictate play from deep, as well as allow her more time on the ball.

Spurs spending over 200k on Tandberg is fairly encouraging. Still hoping for one more through the door, but I'm not holding my breath. That said, and maybe this is misplaced, but I'm reasonably hopeful for this season. I don't think Spurs will be as bad as many think.

I'd like to hope that Spurs wouldn't sanction Csiki's loan w/o having another rw option (even though I know she mostly played centrally when she did get minutes) or some sort of versatile player, that they could bring in.

The way United have gone about selling Clinton is why it's still so easy to dunk on them as a football fan. The fact that they'd rather sell her than face the prospect of her running her contract down, shows the sad state of how some clubs operate in the WSL.

If Spurs Women are only able to get one player in then I just hope that they go for a rw. It's pretty much the only position without a natural starter in that role. I don't mind the idea of Naz starting there, but she'd be a bit wasted there

I actually can't believe that Spurs are streaming the Southampton friendly on YouTube (in a good way). I've got to say though that I really wish that was the standard for pre-season friendlies in the women's game.
