Really focusing on how I put characters together skeleton wise. A couple snakes came out of it

Honestly I wasn't happy with the curtain piece last night. The pose was too boring so I had a couple sketches in my new sketchbook. Loved this. Might make it really big with watercolours and that later on.

I asked people on Instagram what I should put my snake lady into outfit Wise. And they answered "shower curtain"... So that's what I did

Just some doodles at work

Finally a couple hours to myself (no sympathy overtime was my fault) so did some snake studies

Starting with simple black and white/ greyscale thumbnails then doing a colour test that would lead into a final piece. It's not my favourite piece of the 6 weeks but I think the fact I can make something that resembles a landscape at all is a massive achievement.

Made this lino as a gift for my D&D group - finally trying to carve in bigger sizes

2nd to last Gouache Landscape class today. Love what I came up with. Today was all about "glazing". Unlike large water washes of water colours this was glazing using a dry brush and hints of other colours to add more warmth or cold into a scene. Thats why it's quite messy.

One of my best paintings I think. We focused on portraying distance using colour, texture and amount of detail. Only 2 more lessons left but im already certain I'll keep on with making landscapes.

Went to my first lesson of a Gouache Landscape painting course and have come out with these cute value paintings. It was a challenge simplifying a coloured photograph into its pure dark and light areas. Very fun tho!

I did the Ink by hand but Felt like you'd enjoy a timelapse of the colouring process

The goal was as follows! Sketch, Ink (although I abandonded the computer and did it by hand) then colour in a very structured way. Bloody success.
