Millions of years ago, California had a familiar yet alien landscape from what it sees today. This painting highlights the animals that may have passed through Death Valley long ago. This painting features as a 4ft mural hung in the Copper Canyon Visitor Center in southern Cali.

While it's easy to make friends with a passing herd, it still pays to watch for what's lurking in the shadows... This painting was commissioned by the NPS to showcase potential species that create the busy trackways from the Naturita Formation and Colorado National Monument.

A poor Sunkahetanka learns a hard lesson to stay vigilant during its hunt. Sespia is happy to escape in the commotion. This painting is commissioned by the NPS to depict species present in the Scotts bluff National Monument, Nebraska.

The Green River Formation is rich in species diversity. This snapshot captures nocturnal animals emerging as their diurnal neighbors start to settle in. This work is commissioned by the NPS to highlight species found in the Fossil Butte Monument in Wyoming.

Micropernodus is fighting Proscalops for his share of the early worm while a passing Amphicyon looks on. This painting was commissioned by the NPS to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the John Day Fossil Beds site in Oregon.

Helicoprion is a large eugeneodont shark, most famous for its buzzsaw-like jaw configuration. Depicted here hunting Mooreoceras. This painting is commissioned by the NPS and highlights fossil specimens known from Guadalupe Mountains Park, TX

A derived member of the Mosasaur family, Tylosaurus was among the largest members of the marine reptile group. With fossils found across the modern Atlantic Ocean, this animal patrolled the Cretaceous seaways.

The largest species of mammoth, the Columbian mammoth was one of the last large elephants to inhabit the grassland environments of North America during the Pleistocene epoch. During the same period of time, the gompothere Cuvieronius inhabitted similar environments of South America.

Pteranodon Longiceps is the most regonized member of the Pteranodon genus. Composed of nearly 1,200 individual specimens, it is well represented among North American fossil taxa, likely playing an important ecological nighe along the Western Interior Seaway.

Pteranodon sternbergi, otherwise known as Geosternbergia, is one of two large species of the Pteranodon genus. Discovered in central regions of the United States, this pterosaur roamed prehistoric skies during the late Campanian age of the Cretaceous.

To celebrate attending SVP, today is sharing the Crittendenceratops model fabricated at 1:1 scale as an interactive model. The animal was awarded the National Geographic-Lasendorf Paleoart Prize for Sculpture at SVP in 2022, and now features in an event hall for all to enjoy.

Today is Adocus! This 36" long model represents a larger member of the genus, with species known globally aross the northern hemisphere. There are fossil elements suggesting a species of Adocus lived in the Southwest U.S., where this sculpture is displayed as a tactile model.
