Right-wing politicians are in the pockets of the wealthy. They do as they're paid to do by cutting public services, subsidising low wages with UC, & lowering taxes for the rich. In return, we subsidie their greed with revenue syphoned to tax avoiding companies through crony contracts for donors.

Most companies making vast profits also pay their staff pitiful wages. Their staff end up claiming Universal Credit in order to survive. UC is funded from taxation which the greedy companies (& wealthy tax avoiders) avoid paying. Which means we're subsidising greedy parasites that buy politicians

To decide whether a politician is trustworthy, ask yourself, do they serve the public interest or their own self interest. Ministerial pensions & expenses are a drain on the treasury. So, if MPs need to take money from the poor, MPs pensions, salaries & expenses should also be cut. Cut by the same percentage for all future, current & former MPs. When MPs cut public spending, their own rewards should be cut in line.
