I think social psychology as a discipline produced/s many scholars & research programs that peddle racecraft thinking on race/racism… and it’s propped as cutting-edge science …but tbf: unlearning then learning beyond that shit (and feeling this is necessary) is hard work (& isolating, unrewarded)

I would reverse the correlation. Marginalization is a product OF emotional intimacies/connectedness in colonial/capitalist states. The capitalist state's primary objective is to disrupt this to increase reliance on it and increase capital accumulation.

my talk on racecraft in psych spooked audiences, esp those who study race as identity. they wanted race to "be real". i calmed them by telling them to separate identity from classification, but that's a fake solution; it evades how (even good-intentioned) science is/becomes an apparatus of raciality
