The last 2 weeks were a big heat 🥵wave, but tonight my family left a baseball game early because it was too chilly 🥶 and we weren’t prepared…

When you set your phone Lock Screen to a snapshot of your library card so your older 2 kids can check out books while you sit in the car with your youngest who failed to put on shoes before leaving the house… because it’s summer 🙄

PSA for all the parents taking a road trip this summer: audiobooks are an amazing way to entertain kids and cut down on screen time! We borrow audiobook CDs from the library and the kids can listen while they do: coloring, word searches, sudoku, magnets on a cookie sheet, snacks and meals! Win!

Hopped onto the other place today because… habit. Saw an upsetting post by an agent. Glad to be taking the summer for an #amquerying break! The trenches are a rough place! To my fellow #amquerying authors, keep your heads held high and don’t be afraid to take breaks when you need it!

Never thought I would write a romance novel, but this summer I am taking a break from kidlit to do just that! It will never see the light of day, but it is incredibly cathartic and great practice for writing a novel length story. For all my fellow #writers out there, I wish you a great summer!
