In the C19th the world's largest Copper mine was here at Mary Tavy, with children as young as 10 pushing trucks of ore to the surface.

Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year. GDP is 6% to 8% lower, investment 12% to 18% lower, employment 3% to 4% lower and productivity 3% to 4% lower because of Brexit, according to the NBER. We need to start reversing Brexit, and time is of the essence.

Many Brexiteers said they didn’t care if they would be poorer after Brexit. Hopefully they will now be happy to pay extra to compensate those of us who voted Remain?

On this day in 1998, #spaceband and #cerysmatthews released the single The Ballad Of Tom Jones. Included in the album Tin Planet, it was the bands highest charting single reaching number 4 in the UK charts. A wonderful collaboration and song!
