It's 2025, and we're sharing bootleg 60 Minutes segments broadcast in other countries because our own country is being run by fascists and their billionaire-owned state media helpers, just as the Founding Fathers intended, of course.

The networks were afraid not to run Trump because they assumed he would use his office to punish them if they didnât. The irony is that this is what Biden was warning about, a warning they chose not to share with America.

I'm old enough to remember when the networks refused to carry an incredibly important speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia by President Biden about creeping fascism in the U.S. because it was "too political". Sure, but they'll broadcast every minute of Trump's propaganda bullshit. đ

It's amazing how so many billionaires - who have WAY more money than they could possibly need in 500 lifetimes - REALLY want to avoid paying small slivers of tax money to benefit a common good like social safety services for less fortunate countrymen within the society that made them billionaires.

It's driving me batty that nobody except Heather Cox Richardson, the Washington Monthly, and myself is covering Trump's race to sell off (for likely demolition) "the Sistine Chapel of the New Deal," w/ murals by Ben Shahn, Philip Guston, etc. I've furnish links below to help reporters get started.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

For a man who genuinely understands (or at least has understood) how to work a camera and the importance of media presence, this is a distinctly shocking set of images. As is the one of him just standing like (as one person put it) an idling NPC during the medical event in the Oval.

The Republicans will hold SNAP as a hostage against the Democrats. They have work requirements already (and that applies to 16 -59 yrs okd). Now, they are doing withholding SNAP to make people hungry while healthcare costs could skyrocket!

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee. But two years later, they haven't â and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education. A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.
