As a theatre director, I would assert it's about more than just the size of the screen. Sure, you can watch a film or even a play on your phone. But gathering with strangers to experience and consider a story together still has value and meaning.

Ooh, I missed the other days! I submitted my myth-based #YA sci-fi to the program because as a teaching artist in theatre, I deeply value learning and development. Today my kiddo and I had a fabulously fun Christmas Carol rehearsal followed by a fun and fabulous Macbeth rehearsal. The only thing more fun than writing is watching your kiddo shine inside a story surrounded by others invested in the same story. It's a beautiful thing. 💝

#amediting #YA Three chapters were bugging me, so I printed them out. Thought I might eviscerate them. But, in the end, they were better than I thought. I read one romantic part to my kiddo. I knew I'd get an eye roll and "That's so cheesy!" if I did it well. Happy to report: kiddo delivered! 🤖💘🏹
