“Multicultural”= different *cultures* “Interracial”= different *races* The distinction is key. Also key is that these will apply even if neither of the characters are white. There’s a strange motion that interracial means one party must be but that isn’t the case, it’s just that this gets more rep.

It’s understandable to want to get your writing published. But when getting seen is the only reason you’re doing this, it can begin to feel cynical. You lose the joy of writing. Make sure to write what you love, first and foremost. That’s the key to a fulfilling writing career.

None of your writing is ever worthless. It might not be technically proficient, and you might look back and realise you hate it. But you wrote, you practiced, you honed your craft. That is always worthwhile #writingcommunity #amwriting 💙📚

“Artists must suffer to create good art” factoid actually just statistical error. Average suffering artist creates 0 masterpieces a year. Suffering Georg, who lived in a cave and created 10000 masterpieces per day, is an outlier and should not have been counted.

Aside from fantasy romance as a genre, which can be super cute, adding romance into a fantasy as a subplot can help to soften the overall book by giving some respite from dark universes and world-threatening conflicts. It adds in something comfortingly low stakes to otherwise high stakes narratives
