On the left are the ornaments Suzanne gave me 39 years ago. We had been dating just a couple months and she had started asking me all sorts of left field questions. They elicited enough information for her to craft this beautiful collection which perfectly fit the very tiny tree in my apartment.

From my first ukulele Christmas. Suzanne captured this bizarrely interesting moment- probably just joking with Dave T. I like to think we were considering ending the last song with an all-out Who freak-out. I'm out of commission this year, but hoping to return in January.

I neglected to mention that in our basement travels earlier this month, we stumbled upon the perfect Christmas present for children of all ages. Ahh, simpler times.

Kept up the gingerbread display visit this year and it was impressive. It's been a favorite event for all three of us.

I was blessed to have the decades I did with Suzanne and I'm still amazed at her reach; Suzanne would be appreciative, pleased, and astonished at flags at half mast in her honor.

My feet aren't yet under me, but I'm reading some shorter works for now-I'm hip deep in Looney from @kozeniewski.bsky.social and @gavindillinger.bsky.social ; Five Raging Hearts is heading for an end of November release; & last night I started a new story for the first time in months=more to come...

Also, there has been outpatient knee surgery. The leg is healing well.

My wife, Suzanne Brendze, died yesterday afternoon after a multi-year fight with cancer. The link to her obituary with funeral arrangements is in the comments. She was a remarkable, beautiful woman who spent decades as a physician.
