Wrapped up Metroid Prime 4: Beyond just now. On my birthday of all days. I enjoyed it overall, but I do share a good bit of the critique others have. I am left with questions. Ones that I hope are answered. We can hope Retro and Nintendo have a clearer vision ahead for Prime 5.

$30 is just way too high for me.

⁣[Holiday Haul + Personal Update]⁣ ⁣ It was a very media filled holiday for me. Some movies, video games, and a neat Godzilla pin. Physical media, forever.⁣ ⁣ Most importantly, my kid is feeling better and we’ve been out of the hospital.

This is probably my JRPG Mount Rushmore. Though FF VI, IX, X, and Tactics could swap with IV depending on my mood.

I’ll be unexpectedly spending New Year’s celebrations at the hospital with my spouse and our youngest. Fingers crossed that we are able to go home tomorrow. I hope everyone has a better year in 2026 and is able to overcome whatever challenges life brings.
