Apparently Adobe animate is back because bullying works. Phew. But don't let this be the end, you should probably keep a crack on hand as well as learn other software. Noteably ToonBoom but it's impossibly expensive for an indie animator and it's notoriously hard to pirate.

Why isn't there a software that has the idea of webflow where you can just visually design components and it turns it into html/css but except it's a standalone software that runs on your computer instead of a subscription for a gajillion dollar browser editor. Why doesn't a program like this exist

Honestly i might as well move my comic website to comicfury and add custom code to whatever plan they have because webflow's systems are seriously obnoxious. I'm a one man team i don't need a workspace plan for collaboraters yet i am forced to buy that plan if i want to add custom code? Ridiculous

Webflow's billing and plan purchases make no fucking sense. So you have to purchase a SITE plan to give your own website a domain and basically make a website in any capacity, but if you want custom code and to export your own website into code, you have to also buy a workspace plan.

If you're morally opposed to piracy i honestly don't feel sorry for you like idk what to tell you. Wallow in your own sorrow as you happily pay for and support you being unable to own what you made and trusting corperations with your best interest

I already knew that Adobe was going to discontinue Flash/Animate eventually and there were discussions about how they would officially drop support of it soon. There is a very good reason why and it's because the program is coded with sticks and stones and is perpetually broken.
