The number of straight, cis men in charge of things who are mad that women ever got the right to open a checking account in their own name or easily get a divorce from a shitty husband is larger than you think.

I know millennials are often seen as privileged and useless, but we've now lived through two elections decided by the Electoral College and not by popular vote. Two wars in the Middle East started by idiot Republicans. As well as the dot com bubble bursting and the Great Recession.

There's an HBO documentary about Fukushima streaming now. I didn't realize that today is exactly 15 years since the earthquake and resulting tsunami that caused the disaster.

The thing about being agnostic is that I have to hold my tongue when my mother's friends talk about praying for her. It's been many, many years since I was a child in Catholic school.

Decided to go out for some observing. I'm wearing a loose-knit sweater, skinny jeans, and designer sneakers. Some of The Youths are full 2003 in lingerie dresses and shoes I want to set on fire.

I was a small child in Massachusetts when Dukakis ran for POTUS. I feel the need to read more about that campaign and race.

It's great to be the favored child, although you never wanted to be that, with no partner and no children, whom your mother wants to return home to care for her.

I stopped watching Outlander in early season four. I can do ridiculous and horny, but it started to annoy the shit out of me. But I might have to look at this final season to see if the question about the man in the kilt looking up at 1940s Claire in the pilot is answered.

If you're going to be an idiot about vaccinations for children, you should have to look at tombstones in a 19th century graveyard.

This is not a dunk whatsoever, but I wholeheartedly disagree with the first sentence. I'm old enough that a friend in my K class got polio and she ended up in a wheelchair for life. I think not vaccinating is akin to neglect like not feeding or clothing a child. And yes I have a kid.

I was born in 1983. Columbine happened when I was in high school. Someone also attacked a Planned Parenthood in the Boston area during that time. The first tech bubble burst soon after I graduated from high school. Then 9/11. Then a war in the Middle East. Then the Great Recession in my mid-20s.

When I first watched Ken Burns' The Roosevelts, one of the historians described Teddy Roosevelt's love of war as basically blood lust. I wonder what drives said love in the current idiot in charge.
