Love this for Akechi's unfortunate half-honesty here. The things he says are believable because he often leaves kernels of truth in his words, just often enough that you can't discount everything unless you plan to wholesale throw away his heart.

i feel like most of the time, when i write tgirl akechi, i leave a lot to subtext and implication rather than explicitly saying things a great deal of the time. at the same time, that's my favorite way to navigate gender---through the space where things aren't, most of the time.

i did actually only take akechi to jazz jinn, mostly because i forgot you could take people to jazz jinn until thirdsem and i realized it gave you *unique dialogue* and i suddenly had to see all of the tiny bites of dialogue she gives you if you take her there.

Sorry sometimes I see takes that make me feel insane as an adult who has to see children suffer needlessly with responsibilities they should never have had to carry. Part of why Akechi makes me so insane is that he's literally a child. It's so fucked up.

I just can't navigate Akechi's actions as being wholly "his choice" within the context of p5. I feel like leaning into that because he wants to insist he made his own decisions is falling for the facade he wants to convey of being wholly in control of his own fate/life. When he never has been.

This is cute but also speaks to me in terms of how Morgana (and potentially others) view Akechi; he isn't just their enemy, but rather a comrade in arms in the face of terrible adults. Morgana sees him as someone just like the rest of them, and thus due for just as much teasing.

Eternally standing by the idea that either sumire's persona or codename should have been odile. Swan lake reference with kasumi being 'odette' would have been so powerful to me, especially in the context of odile being the lesser of the two, the unwanted daughter, the corrupter.

i love that goro has this desperate entreaty if you accept maruki's deal on 1/2 rather than fighting. It's so different from how embittered he is on 2/2, where he's confident that he's dead and has no future. Here, it aches for him in a very different way. Here, he wants to believe Akira will stop.
