4:33 Got a whole hour more this time. Really don't want to take the prescription sleep meds. They make me feel terrible the next day. Humans really did evolve for some of us to take the night watch. Mine would have been second watch. I always wake naturally for second watch.

A narcissus just punched through this foxglove leaf like paper. It's very proud of itself. Foxglove didn't even bat an eye though and goes on ignoring it. Simply existing in it's power.

I think the trouble I'm having is that, yes, I do have many things that take energy away. But I have very few things in life that *give* energy. Not rest, not "self-care". That's different, that replenishes. Actually giving energy. Do you have things that truly nourish your soul? Beyond respite?

It's 3am. And I'm *so* tired. I wish my brain knew how to fall asleep correctly. Sometimes you do all the things And it *still* doesn't work. If I can't fall asleep in another hour, Maybe I'll give up and walk in the forest a bit before the sun rises. It's so peaceful at that time.

I don't really have a theme here. It's personal and non-curated. There will be all sorts of things. Because I'm human. I'm multifaceted. I'm not a machine Or a brand Or a business. I'm many things And I'm nothing And that is just fine.

It's interesting to watch. When I was in high school, they called me a vampire. In college, they called me a succubus. Then, in my 30s, they called me a dark mother, came to me for herbs and advice. And now, I am eternally grateful they can't burn me at the stake anymore. I see the story arch.

It feels good to be drawing again. I think I need it for my soul.
