Leading the lunchtime communion today at the cathedral was very emotional as we all prayed for our Jewish neighbours and for peace Utterly shocking and devastating attack on the most holiest of days in the Jewish Calendar. Beyond comprehension and deepest prayers go to those affected.

Yesterday I went on a trip to visit a toilet! It was a waterless compost toilet at a church. Given my thoughts on water saving, this was a timely trip The toilet was lovely- not smelly, accessible, minimal maintenance There are a number of churches with these and all are enthusiastic about them

Had a brilliant time - we had long standing congregation members, very new members, cathedral welcomers and staff- and it was a great way to get to know each other Jesus spent a large chunk of his ministry either walking or eating with people, and it's a great model for building community
