I was a show set intern at Universal Creative back in 2017, and Epic Universe was the very first project I ever touched in my professional career.

Absolutely love that the stroller parking location for the Ministry attraction is themed to a shop where you can buy portkeys (which are often disguised as ordinary pieces of junk that you see sitting out on the street…like a stroller)

There are extra story details and jokes for French speakers (or google translate users) all over Wizarding Paris. Here’s a sensationalist headline about Mona Lisa forgetting to return to her frame and an advertisement for a magic cheese competition.

Knott’s is such a pleasant and delightful park. It really is everything a regional park should be - a lovely place to hang out. Nails the trifecta of beautiful landscaping, good food, and fun live entertainment. The rides are icing on top.

Today, @mariamondloch.bsky.social and I went on a day trip to San Diego, and while we were in a pollinator garden in Balboa Park, we saw two monarchs flying together. I was watching them and said “that’s us!” And then realized Maria was on one knee to return the proposal I offered her in October ❤️

I’m a fan of what I’ve seen of the new bride scene so far. I like the ambiguity. She still has a series of husbands that mysteriously disappear, it’s just less explicit what happened. That plus the broken window behind her SUGGEST a number of possible storylines. I really dig it.

Finally finished knitting the last part of Maria’s Christmas gift. Some Wicked inspired socks!

This is an immersive theatrical tribute to THEE Alien Encounter attraction of yore. LA-based parks fans who don’t mind getting “barfed” on should check it out…but wear a poncho. (I DO mind getting barfed on, so I did not attend this lil outing)

The biggest career moment of my 2024 was absolutely the debut of my costume redesigns for our iconic DC Super Heroes - Batman, Superman, and The Flash! These redesigns have been in the works since the end of 2021 and it was so exciting to see them make their big debut.

And 2 comics I wrote were released!

I never do quite as much personal work as I want over the year, but I am pleasantly surprised by what I have done over the past 12 months. Here’s to drawing more in 2025! #artvsartist2024
